LAUREL – Construction is underway at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory for a new spacecraft assembly and testing facility.  The $30-million facility will include optics laboratories, mechanical assembly areas and a high-bay clean room area capable of supporting classified or unclassified integration, and test operations.  To open in Fall 2012, the building will support APL’s mission to in turn support NASA and DoD.
