LINTHICUM – At its annual meeting the Fort Meade Alliance introduced Project SCOPE (Security Clearance Overview and Preparation Education), an educational program to help students understand the importance of behavioral decisions and their impact on future employment prospects. Through videos/DVDs, a Web site and an online curriculum, SCOPE will be piloted in Anne Arundel county schools this fall with the goal of a statewide rollout. SCOPE is supported by Anne Arundel Community College and through a grant by the Md. Dept. of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Another meeting highlight was the welcoming of the Alliance’s new volunteer president, Rosemary Budd of Booz Allen Hamilton, and the tribute to outgoing president Jay Baldwin of CommerceFirst Bank.
