ANNAPOLIS – The Environmental Stewardship Certification Program for Automotive Establishments is the only known municipal certification program of its kind, according to the City of Annapolis.  Businesses learn how to make their business more environment friendly through earned points for pollution prevention, water conservation, and storage of scrap metal, tires, and batteries.  Auto repair and sales, service stations, and car washes are eligible for the initial two-year certification.

ANNAPOLIS – Source and Summit Company has begun working with the Pinecrest Academy of Georgia to reduce its energy costs and carbon footprint.  The energy and emissions advisory firm is evaluating the current energy plan of the 900-student school and will customize a strategy for greater efficiency.
