HANOVER – Conmed Healthcare Management has signed a contract with Washington County, Md. to provide its correctional facility healthcare services to the system’s 450 inmates. Conmed will provide staffing of physicians and nurses, ancillary services such as laboratory and diagnostic imaging, and dental services for approximately $1 million for the first year, and there are four one-year renewal options. Conmed has contracts now with 18 of 23 Maryland counties, and at press time it just landed another agreement with Coos County, Oregon.
