ANNAPOLIS – ARINC Direct has teamed up with the FlightRisk service of Polaris Aero LLC to provide thousands of business aviation pilots with shared airfield experiences in real time. Web-based FlightRisk consolidates and analyzes current airfield data from multiple publications, weather sources, and pilot members.
ANNAPOLIS – Anywhere from $114 million and $171 million is the estimated value of patents held by mobile technology provider TeleCommunication Systems. ipCapital Group made the estimate as part of its job to commercialize the published patent portfolio.
COLUMBIA – The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors honored the One Maryland: Inter-County Broadband Network with the Community Broadband Fiber Network of the Year. The Network, comprised of 10 central-Maryland jurisdictions, will provide every county with high-tech infrastructure including a total of nearly 4,000 fiber miles connecting 715 anchor institutions.
COLUMBIA – Mobile network infrastructure provider Tecore has been supplying the Libyan liberation effort with telecommunications equipment and training since teetering government cut off wireless network service and jammed signals in April. One million mobile subscribers there have been using the Tecore platform.
