HANOVER – Conmed Healthcare Management has finalized an agreement to provide Haywood County, Tennessee with correctional healthcare services for a new jail.  The initial three-year term can be renewed in one-year renewals and will generate $360,000 in the first year.

ANNAPOLIS – Skilled nursing facilities in Maryland employ 36,000 staff with an average wage of $41,000, says a new report from the Health Facilities Association of Maryland and economist Anirban Basu of the Sage Policy Group.  Annual payrolls total $1.5 billion, generate an estimated $68 million in state income tax and $46 million in local government tax revenue.
