BALTIMORE – The Baltimore region retained first-place ranking for academic research funding among 20 U.S. regions, according to the 2011 State of the Region Report. The report from the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council ranked 112 benchmark indicators measuring business vitality, economic health and quality of life.
