LUSBY – Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 has returned to full power after completing a scheduled refueling outage. The reactor operated nonstop for more than 692 days before its refueling outage and in the process set a record for pressurized water reactors. The emission-free electricity from the site’s two units meets the needs of more than one million homes, or about 20 percent of all Maryland residents.
