COLLEGE PARK – BlueWing Environmental is one of the firms that received funding from The Maryland Industrial Partnerships Program to help commercialize the concept for floating islands.  Also known as BioHaven Floating Treatment Wetlands, these are made from recycled plastics and function as plants that remove pollution.  The company and its partner Prof. Joshua McGrath received $139,000.
